The curriculum of the Marine Safety Instructor (MIDATL-276) course has been evaluated by Coast Guard and found to meet the training requirements of 46 CFR 28.270(c).
The objectives of this course include the planning and preparation of effective teaching and instruction; the selection of appropriate methods of instruction and teaching materials; and the evaluation of the teaching and learning process as a Marine Safety instructor of Uninspected Fishing industry Vessels (Near Coastal) and those regulations that pertain to Title 46: Shipping Part 28: Requirements for Commercial Fishing Industry Vessels.
