Any applicant who has successfully completed the License Renewal (Not More Than 100 Gross Tons) (MIDATL-242) course with a passing grade of at least 90%, and who presents the Certificate of Training within one year of the completion of training, will satisfy the examination requirements of 46 CFR 10.227(e)(1)(iii) for renewal of deck credentials endorsed for service upon vessels of not more than 100 Gross Tons.
Provided the candidate meets all other qualification requirements for the Renewal of their License, those who pass all examinations with satisfactory scores will be considered to have demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable regulations and operational procedures necessary to safely and effectively operate a vessel of up to 100 Gross Tons Ocean/Near Coastal/Inland/Great Lakes.
